The season of Lent began on Wednesday, February 17. "Lent is a time to open the doors of our hearts a little wider and understand our Lord a little deeper, so that when Good Friday and eventually Easter come, it is not just another day at church but an opportunity to receive the overflowing of graces God has to offer".
Lenten Devotionals
Printed Copies: We have printed copies of our Lenten devotionals (micro practices) available for pickup during the week on the table in the atrium.
Email: These daily “micro practices” will be sent out to everyone via email (from Vibrant Church Communications) each day during Lent. Social Media: They will also be posted on our social media pages each day. |
Lenten Bible Study
Begins February 24—Wednesdays at 7:00 pm and Thursdays at 10:00 am.
The Lenten study will be a study of the book Entering the Passion of Jesus: A Beginners Guide to Holy Week by Amy-Jill Levine. “In the study, author, professor, and biblical scholar Amy-Jill Levine explores the biblical texts surrounding the Passion story. She shows us how the text raises ethical and spiritual questions for the reader, and how we all face risk in our Christian experience.” The study will be on Wednesdays at 7:00pm and Thursdays at 10:00am. It will be online and in-person (limited to 10 people). Please sign up for the study at https://clemmonspresby.flocknote.com/signup/36515. |
