Clemmons Presbyterian Youth Endowment
Founded by Marvin H. Dickerson, PhD and Mary V. Dickerson, PhD December 1, 2016
This endowment is intended to provide financial resources to further the education and spiritual life of youth who are active in Clemmons Presbyterian Church. This financial aid is focused on the following two areas:
1. Scholarships to help students attend accredited institutions of learning and,
2. Additional financial aid to enhance/expand youth activities (endowment funds are not intended to
substitute for routine support expected from the church’s general fund).
The Board of Trustees governs the yearly review process and award presentations (Governance Appendix).
The Presbyterian Foundation is the fiduciary for the investment management of the endowment fund and monitors the intention of the donor and gift administration accountability (Fiduciary and Administration Accountability Appendix).
I. Maximum yearly award is $3,000 during the Endowment’s interim period. At the time the permanent endowment is established, the yearly maximum award in perpetuity is based on earnings from the endowment’s principal.
II. Student Scholarship and Youth Program Enhancement Applications are due the first Sunday of March.
III. The Board of Trustees presents individual student scholarships and/or awards to the Youth Program
the first Sunday of April each year. (Award Selection Process and Announcement)
