INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Inclement Weather Warnings

When ice and snow make attending worship or church activities dangerous, please use your best judgment.

If Sunday worship services and/or Sunday School are cancelled you can be informed by:

* Checking the church website for a special announcement on the Home Page.
* Watching WXII (channel 12)
* Checking the WXII Website
* Listening to WSJS (600 AM)
* Calling the church 766-4631 (a recorded message will provide information)

Generally decisions will be made by 6:30 am and updates made available then.

On days when worship is cancelled, please call the church after Noon or check the website for the possibility of one service at 2:00 pm that same day. Sometimes roads and walks are clear by the afternoon, but everyone should always use care in deciding about travel.

On Wednesdays, if the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system has cancelled school because of inclement weather, ALL “Wednesday Night Activities” will be automatically cancelled (except for Sanctuary Choir). Cancellations regarding the Sanctuary Choir will be made at the Music Director’s discretion. Sometimes roads and walks are clear by the evening, but everyone should always use care in deciding about travel.

On weekdays in general, if the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system has cancelled school because of inclement weather, ALL CPC children’s and youth activities for that day will be automatically cancelled. Cancellations regarding Adult programs and meetings will be made on a case-by-case basis by the leader(s) involved. Sometimes roads and walks are clear by the evening, but everyone should always use care in deciding about travel.
