Property Ministry
The Property Committee of Clemmons Presbyterian Church is a group of people who are responsible for maintaining the buildings and the grounds of the church complex. The primary work is in maintenance of the already existing structures and landscaping. Occasionally the committee is asked to accomplish projects that add new items and features to the complex. When possible, we prefer to work on the property ourselves. All of the skills necessary to maintain a home are useful on the committee. Cleaning, painting, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, and carpentry are just some of the skills valued on the committee. Sometimes, knowledge of “how to” is as important as the actual manual labor.
The Property Committee has formal meetings rarely, preferring to spend our time in work sessions when tasks requiring multiple people get added to our “to do” list. In a lot of cases, tasks require one or two people with special knowledge or skill. In those cases, they are drafted from our list of volunteers. People who wish to contribute their time and skills to upkeep of the church buildings and property may contact the elder for Property.

Grounds and Garden Committee
The Grounds & Garden Committee operates under the leadership of Joyce Glass to take care of the outside landscaping.
It is a group of women and men who work together to keep our landscape clean, neat, and beautified.
The Grounds section continue to do the heavier landscaping such as mulching, laying pine needles, hauling soil when necessary, and helping to groom hedges and trees. The Garden section helps plant, clean beds, weed, and water.
Our efforts include maintaining the Memorial Garden Columbarium.
The committee meets at least twice a year: early March and early September.
Anyone interested in working primarily outdoors at CPC on the Grounds & Garden Committee can contact the elder for Property.
