Adult Bible Study Class (Room 206)

This class uses the Present Word curriculum to study the “Uniform Bible Lessons”.  The fall study “Tradition and Wisdom” begins with Proverbs and moves on to the Sermon on the Mount.  Strong Bible foundations and lively discussion characterize this class.

New Covenant (Room 208)

This class takes a “spiritual” angle with its reading and discussions and begins the year with Soul Feast by Marjorie Thompson.  The book presents an invitation to the spiritual life, delving into practical and inspiring discussions on prayer, worship, self-examination and hospitality.

Cup of Grace (Parlor)

Through readings and discussion this class will explore the Great Ends of the Church: “the proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter, nurture, and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of divine worship; the preservation of the truth; the promotion of social righteousness; the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.”  Coffee is always served!

Special Studies (Room 209)

“Revelation” will be the first special study for this group.  Using a video based presentation by seminary president Dr. Brian K. Blount, the class will learn about the meanings and messages for both the original and present-day hearers.

Families and Faith (Room 102)

This newly formed class is especially for parents of children birth through high school.  Focusing on our families as the forming center of faith, we will learn about such things as family rituals and celebrations, spiritual disciplines, and experiencing God’s presence in daily life with real children in real families—while enjoying fellowship.

Wednesday Night Studies (6:15-7pm)

The Wednesday Bible Class begins with a video-based study: “Walk as Jesus Walked”.  Using film from the Holy Land along with Bible study and discussion, this is an opportunity to discover the fierce passion of our early Christian brothers and sisters to walk like Jesus – even when the path becomes treacherous.

The Basics class will also meet on Wednesdays and parallels our confirmation class for teens.  Pre-registration and a commitment to study and weekly attendance is required. Click here for the registration form.
