The New Member & Evangelism Committee meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. We are responsible for several visitor and new member ministries.

Inquirer’s Workshops

Inquirer’s Workshops are held throughout the year for visitors interested in learning more about Clemmons Presbyterian. An Inquirer’s Workshop meets for three consecutive weeks on Sunday afternoon in the church parlor. For more information about when the next Inquirer’s Workshop begins or to join the workshop, please contact Pete or one of the pastors.

Visitor and New Member Ministry

• Visitor monitoring

  Volunteers monitor visitors weekly through analysis of the attendance sheets.

• Mug Team

  Volunteers deliver CPC Coffee mugs to first time visitors together with a variety of information about our church.

• Coordinate Inquirer’s Workshops

  Assist Pastor Hoyle with the Inquirer’s Workshop by providing refreshments, having proper materials, and asking speakers to attend to needs of joining members (stewardship, education, etc.)

• Organize New Member Recognition Events

  Execute new member recognition events.

• New Member Assimilation

  Assist with involving and incorporating new members into CPC and make them a part of our family.

• New Member Photography

  Assist with photographing new members.

• Spiritual Gifts Team

  Work with a team of people to meet new members when they come before Session and discuss opportunities for service at CPC with them individually after the Session meeting.
