Memorial Ministry
The Memorial Committee exists to keep the congregation informed about memorial opportunities and to process and acknowledge donations from church members and friends. The Memorial Fund receives gifts large and small throughout the year to unfunded or under-funded areas in the church life. All gifts are recorded in the memorial book which is located in the Narthex. Where appropriate, a book plate or small marker may identify a memorial gift made in honor or in memory of a loved one.
Questions may be directed to any one of the committee members: Jeanne Aronson, Gail Sellers, Roberta Spratt, Linda Heath, and Bill Hoyle (Advisor). The committee meets 6 times per year in February, April, June, August, October, December. If someone is interested in joining the committee, please express your interest to one of the committee members.
Memorial opportunities are offered through the Memorial Committee and the Church Session. All gift amounts, large or small, are welcome and appreciated. Contributions may be made for:
- Hymnals and Chairs
- Sanctuary Pews
- Memorial Landscaping Fund
- Building Fund
- Choir Anthem Music
- Kitchen Remodeling
- Columbarium Walkway
This is not a comprehensive list but provides opportunities for items to be added to our sanctuary, other buildings, and grounds in memory or honor of a loved one.
All gifts will be recorded in the memorial book which is located in the Narthex. Where appropriate, a book plate or small marker may identify the memorial.
The beautiful stained glass windows which were recently installed in our sanctuary were funded by generous donations from church members in memory of their families.
For more specific details about the above list, or about the Memorial Opportunities at CPC, please see our Memorial Opportunities Brochure below, which is also available in the Narthex, or contact the church office.
