Confirmation Class
What is it?
Confirmation Class is the process by which youth publicly profess their faith before the congregation and become individual members of Clemmons Presbyterian Church.
Confirmands meet regularly for fellowship and study. They study the Bible, the sacraments, the church, the Trinity, worship, church history, and Reformed & Presbyterian Theology.
When is it?
Schedules for Confirmation Classes are unique to a given Class. In the past, groups have met:
- 8-12 weeks in the Fall
- 8-12 weeks in the Spring
- weekly
- bi-monthly
- 1.5 hours weekly
- several 5-hour mini-retreats
Who can be in it?
There is no magic age at which a youth should or is able to join a Confirmation Class. It is our custom to encourage youth in the 8th grade to participate in the Class. Any youth in 9th grade or higher who have not participated in a Confirmation Class either at CPC or at a previous church are also invited to participate.
Current Group
A new confirmation group is forming for Fall of 2011. If you are interested in participating in this experience, please contact or call the church office, 766-4631.
