Gooth This Week – Summer Trip Meeting! 4-6

• All parents, youth, and chaperones attending trips are asked to attend. You need only attend those meetings for trips you are attending.
• Meeting will begin earlier than normal Gooth time, 4:00 pm,and will take the place of normal Gooth activities.

  • 4:30 Snacks and social time
  • 5:00 Mission Trip
  • 5:30 Montreat
• Come for any and all parts of the meeting that pertain to your part in our summer trips!

o   We’re going to do energizers, sing songs, play games, and have a general night of merriment to relieve stress of AP exams, spring fever, late semester blues, EOG times, and just life in general!

o   We are going to have a spirituality center-ish thing at Gooth this Sunday!  (I know, that’s so descriptive, right?!)  So, it’s going to be very interactive and a little different than what you’re used to (or at least I think…)! Bread-making, art-doing, contemplation time! Come! It’s going to be great!

• Are you 16 or older?  Are you looking for a way to boost a job application?  Or your college application?  Are you looking for a great way to help out people in need AND have fun with your fellow church members at the same time?  If you answered “Yes!” to any of the above questions, then the CPC Habitat day is for you!
• There are 8 slots left!
• The date?? May 5^th! You’d need to be at the site before 8 AM (I know it’s early, but just think about all the fun you’ll have and that you can go back to bed in the afternoon !) I say you can go back to bed because you should be done before 3!  Just in time for a nice nap!
• So now that you’re convinced you want to go!

  • There you will need to register your personal information and fill out a waiver (during the registration process, you will asked to make a User ID and Password).  When you get through the personal registration process, go to the May 2012 calendar and pick “Smith Farm Construction” on May 5^th.   Then follow the on-screen prompts.  If you get prompted during the registration process for a Join Code ours is “CLEMMONS PRES”.

Summer Habitat Opportunity

• If you can’t attend the mission trip, you should consider doing the Habitat Summer Immersion program!  Or if you can do the mission trip, you should still look into it!
• The 2012 Summer Immersion Program will be June 25th-29th.
  • The program allows youth 14-18 to learn about many aspects of Habitat and volunteer on a wide variety of projects.
