Award Selection Process and Announcement
1. Student Scholarship Application Requirements (previous awardees can apply)
a. Submit a 750-word or less essay to describe why you applied for the scholarship and how it will
have an impact on your faith and your education if you are chosen.
b. Submit grades for last 2 years in school.
c. Describe your involvement in community activities for the past 3 years.
d. Ask 3 persons to submit references, not including church staff members.
e. Attend an interview by request of the Board of Trustees.
2. Youth Program Enhancement Application Requirements
a. Submit 750 words or less that describes how an award would enhance the youth program.
b. Board youth advisor, accompanied by their adult leader, discusses the proposal with the Board.
3. Award Application and Announcements
Youth scholarship and program awards are due to the Board the first Sunday of March and are
announced the first Sunday of April each year.
