Gooth Trip Details to SALT

Travel Itinerary

The group will eat lunch AND dinner on the way, and travel via US-220 through Roanoke to I-81 and on to Harrisonburg, VA. The trip itself takes about 4 hours with a bathroom stop or two. The opening mixer begins at 8pm.

  • o      Ronda & Sam depart on personal time & make college visit
  • o      Penny, Erin, & Jennifer pick up Meredith from Crosby Scholars at Forsyth Tech at 10:30 and depart soon after that
  • o      Everyone else meet at CPC at 10:15am, Friday, Nov 11
  • o      Depart CPC by 10:30am
  • o      Penny & others meet at Chick-Fil-A for lunch about 12:45pm in Roanoke on 220 as you come into town (just before it becomes a freeway and I-580).
  • o      Arrive at Netta about 4
  • o      Get settled at Netta & hang out (Springs, short walk through woods, rocking chairs, couch room, etc.)
  • o      Dinner at local sit-down restaurant at 5:30, followed by ice cream at Kline’s Dairy Bar (a local fav)
  • o      Return to Netta at 7:30
  • o      Opening Mixer at 8:00
  • o      Lunch on Sunday in Harrisonburg about Noon
  • o      Depart Harrisonburg by 1pm
  • o      Return to CPC about 5:30pm

My goal in going ahead and departing before lunch is giving us the freedom to enjoy the travel and not feel rushed the entire journey. I think this will make for a much more pleasant weekend experience!
