50th Anniversary Celebration January 8th
Wednesday, January 4th, 2012
This Sunday, January 8th, will begin our celebration of this significant milestone in our Church’s history. We will have some special guests and presentations to the congregation in both the 8:30 and 10:45 services, followed by a covered dish luncheon in the Fellowship Hall at noon. We will recognize and present a gift to our charter members, and present to the congregation as a whole a Certificate of Celebration from the National Church. Sam Marshall, the Executive-General Presbyter of our area, will deliver the sermon.
We encourage everyone to attend the luncheon at noon. To ensure an even distribution of food for the event, those with whose last names begin with A-G bring a main dish, H-N bring a side dish or salad, and those in the O-Z category bring a dessert.
The 50th Anniversary Committee will also present to the congregation a specially designed, attractive wooden miniature of our Church. Highlights of the Church’s growth and development are printed on the reverse side of the miniature. They can be purchased in the narthex following both services.
We hope to see everyone at the Celebration this Sunday.
